What does Banked do?

Banked is a real time payments platform that facilities account to account bank transfers in real time.

You can do this simply via our hosted checkout, implement an embedded checkout, or create a completely customised experience with our API.

What makes Banked different?

Unlike existing card payment rails, transactions with Banked can move directly and in real-time. This is a far cheaper and more efficient way of moving money than the current payments infrastructure.

What's the difference between hosted, embedded, and API checkouts?

Hosted, embedded, and API checkouts are essentially different levels of customisation. If you want to simply plug in and go, our hosted checkout is for you. If you want to add your own branding, try our embedded checkout. If you want to create an entire customised experience, and just want access to our payment rails, then use our API keys to create your own beautiful checkout experience from scratch.

How long does it take to integrate?

You could be up and running within a few hours.

What is the maximum payment amount per transaction?

An initial limit will be set on your account of £10,000. You can request this to be increased up to £250,00 by contacting our support team, however please note, most banks impose their own limit, we suggest checking with your bank to confirm their specified amount.

Security

How do I report suspicious or fraudulent transactions to Banked?

If you suspect fraudulent activity with your transaction through banked then please contact our compliance department at compliance@banked.com.

Is Banked regulated?

Yes, Banked is regulated by the FCA. Company number 11047186, firm reference number 816944.

Does Banked support SCA (Strong Customer Authentication)?

Yes. Security is paramount to Banked and, in compliance with PSD2, multi-factor authentication is part of every transaction processed.

What is SCA?
Strong Customer Authentication is a new European regulation requirement that aims to reduce fraud and make online payments more secure for both consumers and merchants.
