Announcing Technology Partnership with Comic Relief and raising funds for Red Nose Day.

Banked are delighted to announce it is now an official Technology Partner to Comic Relief. This week we are undertaking a number of fundraising challenges to raise money for this great charity – including a cook along, a distance challenge and a dare to dress up for work day. Banked will be matching donations and are hoping to raise thousands to support worthy causes.

Through our partnership Banked have the ability to simply and quickly set up fundraising activities to support donations through checkout for Comic Relief. Our platform enables our merchants to donate with minimum effort through checkout when their customers select Pay by Bank. 

Over the past financial year Comic Relief has awarded over 187 new grants valued at £65.8m to 172 organisations in both the UK and internationally. They are also funding projects that are supporting people right now and for months to come in Ukraine, and on the borders, as part of their work to help refugees and people fleeing conflict.

We are all extremely concerned about the fast-deteriorating ongoing situation in Ukraine and as businesses are looking to see what we can do to help in any way. Supporting this and other projects for Comic relief is important to Banked and we are delighted to be able to support ongoing fundraising initiatives

In addition, through our work with Healthcare Workers Foundation in 2021 it become apparent to Banked that the charity sector have a hard time finding the most cost efficient and effective solution to payment processing when it comes to fundraising. Many platforms can charge anywhere from 2.9% to as much as 5% in some cases.

It's our belief at Banked that 100% of donations should be reaching their destination, and that charities shouldn't be losing funds to payment providers. We are working with a number of charities at the moment to enable fee free donations with Pay by Bank.
